Our lab advances the frontiers of materials science through the discovery, design, and accelerated development of novel materials and processes. One of our primary research directions is the discovery of new materials and fabrication methods for applications such as energy storage devices, sensors, and functional membranes. In parallel, we leverage our expertise in electrochemistry and electrochemical engineering to address critical issues in water treatment, corrosion prevention, and the recycling of strategic materials. Our ongoing work on self-driving laboratories integrates robotics, artificial intelligence, and automated control systems to enable high-throughput and, often, closed-loop experimentation. This approach greatly accelerates the discovery of advanced materials and processes.
